A man and three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of carrying out four burglaries in Bridlington in little over an hour.

The four men, a 21-year-old, two 19-year-olds and an 18-year-old, all remain in police custody, following a police pursuit that ended in Long Riston.

They are suspected of carrying out four burglaries in Bridlington, between 9.28pm and 10.46pm last night (Sunday April 3).

They are alleged of breaking into properties at George Street, Belvedere Grove, Meadowfield Road and Avocet Way.

A police spokesman said: "A car was linked to the offences and failed to stop for police as it left the town towards Beeford.

"Following a brief pursuit the vehicle was stopped by officers in Long Riston."

Police have not said what type of car was concerned.
