BRIDLINGTON gave other world holiday destinations a run for their money this week as the sun finally put in an appearance and temperatures soared into the high 20s.
After the wettest June on record residents and visitors alike have finally been able to put on their sunglasses, grab their buckets and spades, and head down to Bridlington’s South Beach to soak up the sun.
The warmer weather has arrived just in time for the start of the school holidays, and despite some phases of cooler, wetter weather to come, the drier, warmer weather is expected to continue well into next month.
So how have you been making the most of this lovely sunny weather? These are just some of the comments readers have left on the Free Press Facebook page:
Dave Clarke: Relaxing on our new hammocks in the garden with Kelly-marie Wilson on her 23rd birthday :)
Jane Rüffert: Get the sun tan cream on!
Richard Hilton: Don’t usually like being at work in weather like this, but the air conditioning makes it worth while!
Toni Reynolds: Out in the garden with the little one taking photos of the wildlife :-)
Nick Janney: Watching cricket with a couple of beers, heaven.
