Saint Catherine’s has unveiled its star-studded Hall of Fame as it gears up for its big Starlight Walk.
Some of the biggest names in the entertainment world have backed the hospice by sending along autographed photographs for its Hall of Fame display.
Actor Benedict Cumberbatch, presenters Ant and Dec and Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw are among the latest stars to add their signed pictures to the wall.
They join new additions including the adventurer and Chief Scout Bear Grylls and even Prime Minister David Cameron.
The celebrities have given their support to Saint Catherine’s by sending signed photographs as the hospice prepares for its Starlight Walk which this year has a Hall of Fame theme.
Organisers are inviting walkers to go along in optional fancy dress as their favourite star of stage, screen, sport, music or history.
The sponsored walk is on Saturday 12 September and takes in a 6.5-mile seafront route around Scarborough’s bays.
The walk starts at 10pm and accompanied children go free for the first time.
Organiser Penny Campbell said numbers for this year’s walk were already up on the same time last year with around 300 people already registered to take part.
The walk is sponsored by Dale Power Solutions and again has huge support from the Harbour Bar which provides walkers with free ice-creams and bacon butties in the middle of the night. Registered walkers can view the Hall of Fame in the hospice reception when they call to collect their free Starlight Walk T shirts, available now from Saint Catherine’s.
Register via the hospice’s dedicated website at www.starlightwalk.co.uk or call (01723) 378406. Entry is £12.50 for adults, free for accompanied children.
Children’s T shirts are available for £3.
