Yorkshire Building Society is backing a Bridlington charity by becoming an official donation station for the cause.
The society’s branch, on Prospect Street, has started a collection to support the Hinge Centre’s annual fundraising tombola at its Easter Fayre.
Colleagues are asking people to donate good quality, new items including toiletry sets, gift sets, chocolates, toys and books.
Charlotte Dunn, customer consultant at the Bridlington branch, said: “The Hinge Centre provides vital support to financially and socially deprived people in Bridlington.
“The staff and volunteers do an amazing job but they need the support of the community to be able to carry on.”
The Hinge Centre also operates various support services including a job club to help people improve their employability, sessions on life skills for young people, after-school clubs and advocacy advice.
Eve Laird, the Hinge Centre manager, said: “We are extremely grateful to the customers and staff of Bridlington’s Yorkshire Building Society branch for their support and donations of items for tombola prizes. As with any charity we have to rely on fundraising and we are pleased to have the support of the Bridlington Residents and the branch customers.
“Thank you for each and every donation.”
