A TEENAGER was taken to hospital this morning (July 11) after being involved in a collision with a van while walking to school.

A 14-year-old Bridlington girl was clipped by the wingmirror of a blue Citroen Dispatch van being driven by a 24-year-old Bridlington man shortly after 8am on Fortyfoot, near Headlands School.

The teenager suffered grazing to her head and body and was taken to Scarborough General Hospital as a precaution.
