The Salvation Army held their annual Christmas market earlier this month raising £308.
The market at the Salvation Army building on Wellington Road on December 3, sold homede cookery and a variety of gifts.
Pumpkin pie and soup was also sold thanks to a donation by Pro Fruit, with the money raised from that going to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Salvation Army Captain, Kath Ward, said: “The Christmas market was a lot of hard work but we really enjoyed doing it, we have a great team here.”
Profits raised at the market will help the Salvation Army provide Christmas dinner to the elderly and those who are on their own this Christmas.
Ms Ward said: “I would like to say thank you to the people who have supported us all year round and we look forward to seeing everybody again in the new year.”
