BRIDLINGTON residents helped the Round Table raise a record amount in their Santa tour around the town.
In the run up to Christmas, Santa Claus toured the town on the Round Table sleigh offering festive greetings, and handing out sweets to children.
The sleigh was hauled for over 30 miles, and raised £3,723 - a record amount for the round table members.
Mark Kunz of Bridlington Round Table said: “We would all like to thank our wives and partners, the B41s, Colonel Sanderson, Dave at Hancock’s Sweets in Hull, Geoff Dunn at G and A packaging for poly bags and ties, the Free Press for their kind media coverage, Rudolph for pulling the sleigh, and lastly and most importantly, the townsfolk of Bridlington for donating so generously.”
All the money raised will go towards local good causes throughout 2012.

l While fundraising on Queensgate during December, Santa and the Round Table members received an unexpected surprise - a piece of ladies jewellery which slipped into their collection bucket.
Members of the Round Table were not sure if the jewellery was dropped by mistake, so if you are missing something get in touch with the Round Table on the above numbers.
