Ross back home after third tour

COLOUR sergeant Ross Gunning has recently returned home after his third tour of Afghanistan.

Ross, 45, from Bridlington, joined the Royal Marines in 1990 and comes from a military family, with his brother Alastair, also a Royal Marine Commando, starting his second tour of Afghanistan in February.

Ross worked primarily with mortars in various commando units and has been based in Helmand Province, and is now at the home base of 45 commando in Arbroath.

His wife April, and the rest of his family are all very proud of Ross’ achievements.
