KEEN cyclist Rory Santon has already raised £300 for a charity bike ride, in aid of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) at Priory View.
Rory, 52, of Marshall Avenue, will ride roughly 50 miles from Bridlington to Etton and back on October 29 for the charity, which he has done for the past 11 years.
Despite having his bike stolen last month, Rory is still looking forward to the ride, which has already raised an impressive amount.
He said: “I’m looking forward to getting out on the bike again and the £300 I have already got means I have probably raised about £5000 since I started doing it.”
Joan Pierson, Group Secretary of the RDA, said: “We are very grateful to Rory for all of the fundraising he has done for us down the years, he has done it all off his own bat.”
If anybody would like to sponsor Rory before he sets off, they can contact Priory View on 602477.
