MAJOR roadworks to repair dangerous potholes on one of Bridlington’s busiest routes start on Monday.
The £150,000 scheme will see half of Quay Road closed in different sections over the next three weeks, and Quay Road roundabout will be closed for 10 days with a temporary stop-go traffic system around the works.
The affected stretch is from Quay Road roundabout to the junction with Prospect Street and Wellington Road.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council said partial sections of the road will be closed between 9.15am and 3.15pm.
Complete closures will, where possible happen over night to minimise disruption.
The road junctions of Cambridge Street, Moorfield Road, Station Avenue, Oliver’s Lane, Victoria Road and Wellington Road will also be closed for periods during the work.
The junction on to Victoria Road will also be closed during the day for a five day period.
Some bus stops along the route will also be affected.
