The A614 at Bridlington has now been reopened following an earlier collision involving a 64-year-old man and dustbin lorry.

At around 7.10am this morning (Wednesday 20 November) police closed the road at Bessingby Hill and at the Carnaby roundabout following the incident on Butterfly Lane, near Bessingby village.

A doctor and four marked paramedics were called to the scene, and at 7.30am the man was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for further treatment.

Humberside Police are investigating into the incident and ask anyone who witnessed it to get in touch on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 55 of 20/11/13.
