A TATTOOIST and a body piercer from Bridlington have helped smash an unusual World Record

Jan Moat and Dave Wilson of the Identity tattoo studio on Hilderthorpe Road attended a tattoo convention in Doncaster where they took part in a World Record attempt for the most people being tattooed in the same place at the same time.

Their input helped break the World Record to set a new one of 223 tattoo artists simultaneously inking people.

Brave Dave went under the needle as Jan and another artist worked on an Alien and Predator piece on his back which will take another two years to completely finish.

Dave, who has worked at Identity for five years, said: “It was very painful!

“The record attempt was a good thing to be a part of, but I didn’t get to see much of it because I had my back to everyone!”

The pair took part in the attempt last summer but have only just received their official Guinness Book of World Records certificate which now has pride of place in the tattoo studio.
