A TEAM from Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life has been in Bridlington to encourage local women to sign up for the charity run.
The annual event is taking place on June 26 this year and will start from Sewerby Hall and Gardens at 11am.
Previous events in Bridlington have been a huge success and this year Cancer Research UK has set an ambitious fund-raising target of £140,254 for the town.
It is looking for 2,400 women to take part in the run which will travel a 5km circular route from Sewerby Hall along the cliiftops and down to the seafront.
Entry costs £14.99 and participants are encouraged to collect as much sponsorship money as they can. Anybody wanting to take part can visit www.raceforlife.org to register their details.
