One of Bridlington’s Sizzling pubs, The Friendly Forester, is pledging to lend a helping hand to local charities throughout the year and is calling for people in the community to nominate worthy causes to receive support.

The pub, which reopened its doors in December following a refurbishment, will be donating three monthly to the two nominated local charities, along with Cancer Research UK, which has been chosen as Sizzling Pub’s Charity of the Year.

The pub’s general manager Frances Round said: “We calling on the people of Bridlington to vote for worthy causes in the area, and would encourage anyone who works for a local charity to get in touch.”

Following the refurbishment, The Friendly Forester, which is located on Marton Gate, has created 10 new jobs and allowed the pub to pledge support to local charities to help the community.
