GARDENS, and parkland at Sewerby Hall are again under the spotlight of judges for this year’s Yorkshire in Bloom awards.

The house and grounds are entered in the Country House, Parks and Gardens category of the 2011 awards and last Tuesday, judges Richard and Patience Hibbert cast their critical eye over them, including the Hall’s Outreach Project for students with learning difficulties.

Sewerby has been an entrant for many years and has in the not too distant past been a category winner. They will be up against other houses, such as Sledmere and Normanby Hall and Country Park in Scunthorpe, both previous winners, but will have to wait until September to find out how they have done.
