“SENSATIONAL!” - That is how N-Dubz star Dappy described his first live solo performance in Bridlington last night.

Dappy joined a star studded line up, which included Olly Murs, Chipmunk, The Feeling and Dionne Bromfield, for Viking Fm’s Brid Bash held at the Spa Bridlington.

Over 2,400 people of all ages crowded into the venue to see their favourite performers take to the stage in what has become one of the region’s biggest music events.

Dappy, who chose the Brid Bash as the platform from which to launch his solo career was full of praise for the event.

“I was very nervous before but then I came out on stage and the crowd sang every single word of my new single No Regrets. It’s been out for three weeks and to know that they know every single word just from those three weeks was sensational and it makes me want to carry on making music for the masses.”

“What a great event, I enjoyed it thoroughly,” he added.

For Olly Murs it was his second visit to Brid Bash after wowing the crowds at last year’s event and he told the Bridlington Free Press that it was good to be back.

“It’s great to be back, it’s a lovely place Bridlington, it’s a great venue, it’s brilliant for the town and it’s great to see everyone coming down for the show.”
