BRIDLINGTON Police’s Neighbourhood Team have seized four motorbikes as part of a joint venture.

Officers and PCSOs from Bridlington North and Central, and South Neighbourhood Teams are working together to crack down on illegal motorbikes in the town.

PCSO Adrian Clark, of the South Division, said that police had moved to seize the illegal bikes, which in many cases are are ridden without MOTs and insurance.

He said: “This was a joint venture to crack down on these bikes after we received a number of complaints from members of the public.

“We are taking these motorbikes off the streets and those who ride them illegally are being dealt with.”

So far, trials bikes and pit bikes have been seized by police.

“If anyone sees this type of bike being ridden on roads around the town, please get in touch with us,” continued PCSO Clark.

“It is often more of a issue in the summer months but it is a year round problem that we are dealing with strongly.”
