The police helicopter was called to Bridlington to locate a car which had been involved in a minor collision and drove off.

Humberside Police were called at 1.53pm reporting a car allegedly being reversed into another vehicle before being driven off following an argument on Vernon Road, Bridlington.

A police spokesman said: "The two vehicles involved were a white Vauxhall Corsa and a silver coloured Volkswagen Golf.

"The Vauxhall left the scene following the incident.

"The Police Helicopter briefly assisted in searching for the vehicle."

Officers added that their enquiries are ongoing.
