Mallard Court care home is throwing open its doors to the general public to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Friday, June 21, is National Care Home Day and an opportunity for the privately owned business to mark 20 years of caring for those who need help later in life.
Steve Moss, Mallard Court’s activities co-ordinator, said: “We are inviting the general public along to take a look at us. Many of them will never have seen inside a care home before.” There will be live entertainment from an organist and a male and female singer, a table top sale including Thorntons Chocolates, pet stall, fashion bags, jewellery and accessories, a raffle, tombola, cake stall and creme scones and strawberries - from 11am-4pm.
Any proceeds will be shared between the residents fund and local charities. Anyone wanting a table should call 401543.
The home was purpose built as Westminster Care Home in Avocet Way, Bridlington, in 1993, and became Mallard Court after a change of ownership in 2003.
