East Yorkshire-based accountancy firm Lloyd Dowson has appointed its second director from outside the family-run business.

Tracy Meredith-Baker, who is married with two children, lives in Driffield.

She said “I am really pleased to be appointed to the board of directors and, having worked in all areas of accountancy including Taxation, VAT and Audit, I feel I can make a major contribution towards the running of the business”.

Mrs Meredith-Baker has joined the Board of Directors, having worked at the accountancy firm for 17 years.

She is now the Senior Statutory Auditor for the company, a highly specialised position within accountancy.

David Dowson, the Chairman of the company said: “Tracy’s dedication and hard work has gained her this well deserved promotion.

“She has been an integral part of the team for many years and is instrumental in our future growth and continuity. I am pleased to welcome Tracy to the board”.

The appointment of Mrs Meredith-Barker comes as Lloyd Dowson is about to employ its 52nd staff member.

Founded in 1988, Lloyd Dowson pride themselves on client care and approachability and the company works for around 1600 clients nationwide, from sole traders to multi-national PLCs.

The offices are headquartered at Station Avenue in Bridlington.
