SCARECROWS were back in Flamborough last week - not to scare birds, but to raise money for Flamborough RNLI.

This year the theme was ‘celebrating 2012’ - which gave designers a free reign to celebrate some of this year’s biggest events, including the Queen’s Diamond Jubliee and the Olympic Games.

Free Press photographer Paul Atkinson went out and about in Flamborough to hunt down some of the best scarecrows, which were on display around the village until the RNLI day on bank holiday Monday.

The winner of the best scarecrow was Wyndcott, of Woodcock Road with their Wenlock and Mandeville scarecrow.
