YOU can now nominate your favourite tourism hotspot in the Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs).
The awards, hosted by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY), honour the very best of our region’s tourism industry – with businesses and attractions in and around Bridlington performing well in previous years.
Forms are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Prince Street, Bridlington, and others across the region, as well as online at www.visithullandeastyorkshire.com/reyta.
There are 12 awards for businesses to nominate their staff, their organisation or a colleague for.
The 2012 Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards categories are:
Remarkable Breakfast, Remarkable Night’s Sleep (serviced), Remarkable Night’s Sleep (non-serviced), Remarkable Welcome, Remarkable Fayre, Remarkable Cuppa, Remarkable Taste, Remarkable Pub, Remarkable Conference Venue, Remarkable Newcomer Award, Remarkable Day Out, Remarkable Tourism Event and Remarkable East Yorkshire Passion.
Janet Reuben, chief executive of VHEY, said: “These awards are a chance for this region’s tourism industry to celebrate and recognise the great people and organisations that make a superb contribution to Hull and East Yorkshire tourism.
“Awards have enormous potential to raise awareness of business successes and winners of the first two REYTAs reported an increase in profile and customers due to their awards achievement.”
The Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards are open to businesses and people who work within the East Riding and contribute to the visitor economy.
