A BRIDLINGTON woman who has helped raise more than £22,000 for charity is gearing up for next month’s Festival of Running.
Nancy Bratby, of Thoresby Close, has helped raise the impressive total for children’s cancer charity Clic Sargent, as part of the Sandow Clowns Slapstick Theatre Company.
Now Nancy is to dig out her running shoes and take part in the 10k run on June 4.
“The run is a new challenge, but one that I am really looking forward to,” said Nancy, who is no stranger to gruelling charity events, after she walked the Inca trail in Peru to raise more than £3,000 for charity.
“I do hope, with the kind support of local people, to raise as much money as I can for Clic Sargent.”
