PUPILS learned about road safety when cycling through a festive Santa cycle into school.

Youngsters at New Pasture Lane Primary School, Burstall Hill, Bridlington, rode their decorated bicycles to school on Wednesday December 19.

The school has worked in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Road Safety Team to promote safe cycling amongst pupils.

On Wednesday over 30 students were involved with activities including riding over assault courses and playing games geared towards road safety.

Alison Tadman, head teacher at New Pasture Lane, said: “They loved it, and it has been really popular. They learn to mend their own bikes and how to keep safe on the roads - also it’s great for keeping them healthy.”
