Construction company Hobson & Porter has secured a further contract to help alleviate the shortage of affordable Housing in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The £5.5 million scheme will deliver 48 new two and three bedroomed mainly semi-detached properties at Pinfold Lane, Bridlington. This project forms part of the Affordable Housing Programme 2011 – 2015 funded by the Homes and Communities Agency.
This contract was procured by the Council by means of the YORbuild framework and will commence in May 2014, for completion in April 2015.
Councillor Symon Fraser, portfolio holder for environment, housing and planning at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “Hobson and Porter is an excellent local company employing local people to deliver improvements for East Riding residents. This represents a win win deal for the council and the community.”
