McCarthy and Stone, the UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, is inviting people in East Yorkshire to suggest a name for its new Retirement Living development in Bridlington.

As well as the honour of naming the new development and being granted the opportunity to attend the official opening, the person who comes up with the winning entry will also be awarded a cheque for £250.

But you will need to get your skates on as the deadline for entries is tomorrow (Oct 23).

Liz Green, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone North East, said: “We’re looking for a name which will be relevant to the local community – and it can be anything from suggestions honouring local heroes to those celebrating the history of the area.”

The modern development, at Marton Gate in Bridlington, is exclusively for over 60s and will provide an ideal option for those seeking retirement flats in Yorkshire and the north of England. With construction well under way, the apartments will go on sale from spring with an estimated move-in date of autumn 2016.

To be in with a chance of naming the new development, and to win £250, send your name and contact details, along with your suggested development name, which must end with the word ‘Court’, to mccarthyandstone@mccann.com.

The competition is open to people of all ages and the deadline for entries is Friday October 23. Please mark your emails ‘Bridlington’ in the subject header.
