Police have confirmed a pensioner who had been missing from his Leeds home for almost a week has been found safe and well in Scarborough.
Dennis Beecher, aged 67, went missing from his care home in Morley at about 10am on Thursday 24 July.
He was found in Scarborough on Wednesday 30 July.
Police had been concerned for Mr Beecher’s welfare as it was understood he suffers from certain medical conditions.
He was subject to a media appeal across Yorkshire police forces from Sunday 27 July.
West Yorkshire Police believed he may have travelled to the Bridlington or Scarborough area as he is known to visit both towns.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “The media and public are thanked for their assistance.”
