A man has been taken to hospital after being pulled from the sea at Bridlington harbour by the inshore lifeboat crew.

The inshore lifeboat was called out at 8am this morning (31 January) after a member of the public reported seeing a person in the sea near the harbour.

Quickly on the scene, the man, believed to be in his 50s, was taken ashore with two members of the lifeboat crew attempting to revive him.

Paramedics and Ambulance crews then took over and the man was taken to Scarborough Hospital via ambulance.

The man's condition is unknown at this time.
