A woman was assaulted in the Bodrum take away on St John’s Street in Bridlington on Boxing Day.

At around 10pm, the woman was assaulted by another woman she did not know at the premises.

The victim and a friend were inside the shop, when a man and a woman entered and started to argue with staff.

The female suspect went outside, but then reached into the shop and is alleged to have punched the victim in the face causing bruising and swelling to her right eye, scratches to her face, a swollen nose and a bump to back of her head.

The suspect is then alleged to have punched the shop window causing it to crack before running off towards Queensgate.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or been passing by the takeaway at the time. Anyone with information can call the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference CW/2017558/2013.
