Bridlington Lifeboat crew were involved in a dramatic operation after a fire broke out on board a ferry, 30 miles off Flamborough Head.

The Marine Engineer and its six man crew attended on Saturday night after the fire started in a cabin of the North Sea ferry MS King Seaways, which had left North Shields and was bound for Amsterdam.

A 26-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of arson and a 28-year-old man on suspicion of affray.
