Two troublemakers given ASBOs

TWO local men have been given Anti-Social Behaviour Orders for separate incidents of bad behaviour:

A PERSISTENT trouble-maker in Flamborough has been given an ASBO banning him from the village hall and library until 2011.

Nathan Quait has also been given an overnight home curfew between 9pm and 6am for the next six months.

If he breaks the terms of his ASBO, Quait could be fined up to 2,000 and be given a maximum two-year jail term.

Village PCSO Bev Feirn said: "This Anti-Social Behaviour Order has been given to Quait due to his persistent offending and anti-social behaviour in Flamborough.

"We hope this ASBO will prohibit him from committing further anti-social behaviour in the Flamborough area and give the residents a safer community to live in."

If anyone witnesses Quait breaching his ASBO – which runs until September 2, 2011 – they are asked to call Humberside Police on 0845 6060222 or the council's Anti-Social Behaviour Team on 01482 396380.

GARETH Rugg has been given an ASBO banning him from possessing alcohol in any public place within England and Wales until 2014.

He faces a 5,000 fine or a prison term of up to five years if he breaches the order – which is in force until September 21, 2014.

The ASBO also hopes to prevent Rugg from appearing in public drunk and from being abusive, threatening or insulting towards other members of the public.

If anybody spots Rugg carrying alcohol in Bridlington – even if the bottle or can has not been opened – or behaving aggressively towards others, they are asked to contact Humberside Police or the Anti Social Behaviour Team.
