Town's Seafood Festival

A CELEBRATION of Bridlington's seafood heritage will take place at the end of August when the second annual Seafood Festival rolls into town.

Following the success of the inaugural Seafood Festival in 2009, the Bridlington Harbour Commissioners, in partnership with Bridlington Renaissance, are staging the second festival of its kind over the weekend of August 21.

Held at Bridlington Harbour (Clough Hole Car Park) from 10am to 4pm on both days, there will be a number of exhibits on display and activities for all.

The latest plans for the new Bridlington Marina will be on display, with the Harbour Commissioners and Renaissance staff on hand to answer visitors questions.

Also on display will be historic photographs of Bridlington Harbour, and visitors can also have a look around some historic boats that have used the harbour.

Among the activities taking place will be a treasure hunt and quiz for children, both new to the festival this year, and there are more attractions awaiting confirmation.
