Top chart acts lined up for the Brid Bash

TWO more big names in the pop world have been announced to perform at this year's Brid Bash.

Appearing alongside the Sugababes is Danish pop band Alphabeat and Scottish singer-songwriter Sandi Thom.

Viking FM and The Spa Bridlington have teamed up to present the party event on Thursday, August 28

Ruth Puckering, marketing officer at The Spa, said: "The atmosphere will be amazing."

Headliners the Sugababes are one of the most successful girl bands in UK pop history, with a huge catalogue of top 10 hits and best-selling albums.

Keisha, Heidi and newest member Amelle also recently sang at Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday Concert.

Alphabeat's sound is mainly retro 80s melodic pop and their debut single Fascination was a big hit in this country.

Sandi Thom has sold more than a million albums and a million singles worldwide and first became famous for webcasting gigs from her basement flat in Tooting. Her biggest hit is I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair).

The last Brid Bash, in 2005, was a sell-out success and tickets are now available for this year's event from the box office by calling 678258 or visiting www.thespabridlington.com
