A TEENAGE boy has sustained facial injuries after an argument broke out among a group of youngsters in Bridlington.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the alleged assault which happened at Dukes Park on Wednesday March 6 at around 8pm.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said it was reported that a dispute had broken out between two members of a mixed group of young people.

Another member of the group also allegedly became involved when the argument became physical, and as a result a 16-year-old boy sustained facial injuries and bruising to his body.

A police investigation into the incident is now underway and officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed it and has not already provided them with information. Anyone who can help should call 101 quoting log number 657 of March 6.
