Youngsters from a dance school joined the professionals on stage in The Spa Bridlington’s Christmas pantomime and entertained thousands over the festive season.
Performers from The Collette Tyler School of Dance featured in every showing of Cinderella alongside Strictly Come Dancing star Camilla Dallerup.
A group of 27 dancers aged between eight and 16 trained with a choreographer to learn the routines and put their best foot forward from Thursday December 12 to Wednesday January 1.
“It was fabulous, they really enjoyed it,” said Collette Tyler, director of the dance school.
She said: “It is a lovely experience to train with a professional cast. It gives them confidence and something to put as professional experience on their CVs. There’s not many people who get that chance.
“I’m really proud if them, they just dance like professionals and they thoroughly enjoy it. They are a credit to me really.
“It is just a really good production and we had really good feedback. It is great that they can dance for so many people.”
The group’s favourite routines from Cinderella were Vogue and the transformation ballet they performed towards the end of the first half.
Dancers from Collette’s school are in training all year round as they perform in many competitions and shows throughout the year.
