A brave teenager is gearing up for an eye-watering charity wax in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
Jordan Clark, 16, of St Thomas Road in Bridlington, plans to have his back waxed, along with other sensitive body parts to raise money for charity.
“I’m feeling nervous about it,” said Jordan, who has already raised £300, and aims to make it to the £500 mark.
He said: “I just thought because you often hear about breast cancer charities, it would be good to support a charity for male cancers as men can get it too.”
The idea for the fundraiser arose from a jokey conversation with friends, however Jordan is committed to raising money and will undergo the painful treatment on Friday 4 October at the hand of one of his friends.
He currently attends sixth form at Bridlington School and Headland’s Shores Consortium, and has been collecting in sponsorship from friends, family and the local rugby club.
Prostate Cancer UK is the leading charity which fights to help men battle prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life.
