Quad bike raffled off for charity at South Shore fun day
THE South Shore Fun Day is back again and all set to provide great entertainment for all the family next week – including the chance to win a brand new quad bike.
The bike, worth up to 1,800, is being raffled off for charity by John Crisp, from Bridlington Road Rescue.
John, who is a forum member of the park, said they were always thinking of new ways to raise money – and this is in memory of his godson.
He said: "One of the charities we are supporting is Candlelighters which helps children and has cabins on the site.
"My godson came to stay in Bridlington and the support they gave him and his family was second to none, and it's all about trying to give something back."
John said he would be in Bridlington's King Street this Saturday from 10am selling tickets for the raffle, which are 50p each, with the rest being sold at the fun day.
The action itself kicks off at South Cliff Caravan Park at 10am on Saturday, July 11, with a fun run and a treasure hunt just part of the day's events.
Youngsters can look forward to entertainment from the Magic Mike Show and throughout the day there will be various games and challenges including football coaching.
Other activities including a bouncy castle, an inflatable fun slide and face painting for children, as well as a bird of prey exhibition, displays from the fire and rescue service, an appearance from The Deep, with various stalls also destined to keep crowds entertained.
The day is set to be rounded off with presentations and the grand prize draw for the quad bike at 4pm, with all proceeds from the day going the MacMillan Ward at Bridlington Hospital, the RNLI and the Candlelighters charity.
