Pupils staying bright and safe

THOSE who subscribe to the old adage that children should be seen and not heard will be pleased to hear that there will be no missing the pupils at Martongate Primary School in Bridlington when they go on school trips.

The youngsters will be bright and safe thanks to a road safety donation from breadmaker Warburtons which has kitted out the pupils with high visibility jackets.

Tom Sugden, of Warburtons Yorkshire, said: "Health and safety is fundamental to our business and something that we are keen to promote to the wider community.

"We hope that this donation will help Martongate Primary School teach their pupils about the importance of safety."

Sarah Josefsen of Martongate Primary School said: "Teaching the children about staying safe is very important to us and something that we strive to demonstrate.

"We would like to thank Warburtons for their kind donation - the jackets will be put to very good use."
