Police probe burglary at Brid hotel

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a Bridlington hotel in which a large quantity of alcohol and other items were taken.

The thieves stole a number of high value products from the New Crown Hotel on Quay Road, including 12 part bottles of spirits, 10 cases of beer, 25 full bottles of spirits, 14 cases of various wines and 37 cases of alco-pops.

A glass washer, twin CD player, 4 gadget lights, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a fridge were also taken.

The incident occurred sometime between 4.30pm on Friday January 13 and 2pm on Monday January 16 when the premises were empty.

The hotel has been closed since December and following the burglary, has been boarded up.

Police have made enquiries in the local area and are now appealing to anybody who may have seen a vehicle acting suspiciously nearby at the time of the burglary to contact them.
