Mobility scooter stolen in Bridlington

A MOBILITY scooter taken from outside a Bridlington cafe while its owner was inside has been recovered by police.

Officers had appealed for information after the scooter was taken from outside the Anchor cafe on Promenade, on Friday March 15 at around 7pm.

CCTV image showed a man in dark clothing pushing the scooter across the street, towards a nearby snicket down which it is thought he escaped.

Police tracked down the scooter in a nearby alleyway and returned it to its owner.

However, they are still looking for witnesses to the theft should, and anyone with information should contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number CW/1963310.
