Missing woman is found

AN 80-year-old woman from Barnsley was found cold and confused 11 hours after she was reported missing.

The woman, who was on holiday in Bridlington and staying at a town centre hotel, was reported missing at 2pm on Monday when she left to go for a walk.

After her details were circulated by police a member of the coastguard team at Limekiln Lane recognised her description and that she had seen the woman a short time before in Queensgate.

Coastguards picked up the woman and brought her back to Limekiln Lane. The police then took her back to her holiday hotel. "It seems she had gone for a walk and got herself lost," said a spokesman.
