Man punched in mouth on Bridlington night out

A MAN sustained a minor head injury after being assaulted in Bridlington following a night out.

The incident happened outside Speedy Peppers, on Promenade, Bridlington at approximately 3.30am on Saturday November 3.

The victim, a 30-year-old man from West Yorkshire, was walking with friends when they became involved in an exchange of words with two men.

Everyone then continued walking in the same direction until one of the men approached the victim and punched him in the mouth, causing him to fall backwards. He was knocked unconscious. The two men then left the scene.

The victim sustained a large bump to the back of his head and soreness around the right lower jaw but did not attend hospital.

The suspects are described as two white men aged in their 20s, one was wearing a short sleeved white top and the second a checked shirt.

Anyone witnesses to the altercation are asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 referring to log 152 of November 3, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
