Man dies after being rushed to hospital from David Hockney’s home
A 23-year-old Bridlington man who is believed to have worked as an assistant to David Hockney has died after being rushed to hospital from the world renowned artist’s home.
Dominic Elliott was taken to Scarborough General Hospital from Hockney’s home on Kingston Road, in Bridlington shortly after 6am yesterday morning (Sunday March 17).
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said the 23-year-old was “in a serious condition” when he was taken to hospital by a friend.
The spokeserson added: “The 23-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at hospital and the police notified.
“The circumstances of the man’s death are not clear and officers are currently undertaking enquiries to establish events leading to his death.
“There were no signs of violence and a post mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow (Tuesday 19 March) which is hoped may provide further information.”
