Yorkshireman John Newman has been confirmed to play at the Spa Bridlington - his only date in his home county - on Wednesday October 22.
In 2012, at only 23, John had a Number 1 single and album, three Brit nominations, appeared on both Later with Jools, and the Christmas Top Of The Pops, and had written and sung on two of the biggest dance hits to storm the UK charts in years: Rudimental’s number one ‘Feel The Love’ and anthemic follow up ‘Not Giving In’.
In 2013, Newman enjoyed success as a solo artist with the number 1 single ‘Love Me Again’, which was also the number 1 airplay record of 2013.
The single was the lead single to his highly acclaimed number 1 album ‘Tribute’, which to date has sold over 300,000 copies worldwide.
One of the standout tracks of the album, “Out Of My Head” is released on April 7.
The success hasn’t been confined to these shores with John’s career also taking off in the US and across the globe.
January saw him playing his first ever sell-out US dates in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston.
During his visit the album reached number 2 on the US iTunes chart.
The European and Antipodean success is equally impressive with Newman achieving double platinum status in Australia, Italy, Czech Republic and Norway,
