THIS bus got into trouble in Limekiln Lane on Saturday – but a friendly Russian with a shovel was on hand to help
Despite assistance and a cup of tea from local residents no-one could move it until a knight in shining armour – in reality the driver of a blue Subaru Impreza – turned up.
According to David Hollingworth of nearby Eastcourt Mansions, the driver put his car ahead of the bus, got out a spade and by the time the bus company’s help arrived, had managed to get it straightened up and clear the road.
“As the Subaru left I think his car number plates gave some indication of his snow and ice expertise – they were Russian,” said Mr Hollingworth, who sent us this pictures of the scene.
