Fellowship celebrates second anniversary
Bridlington Torch Fellowship, which supports visually-impaired people, celebrates its second anniversary on Saturday and everyone is welcome at a birthday event at 2pm at Emmanuel Church, in Cardigan Road.
The Fellowship works in partnership with the Torch Trust to provide literature, holidays and international aid for blind and partially-sighted people.
Activities include piano and choir concerts, pantomime visits, talent events and talks by members of the clergy.
The Torch Trust was formed in 1959 when a group of Christians realised many blind people were excluded from worship in churches, as they had no literature in Braille or other formats.
Val and David Radford, of Bridlington, who are both blind, are the area co-ordinators and have organised events with other groups from the surrounding areas.
Contact Val or David Radford on 602337 for more information.
