Exhibition on Brid's fishing heritage
THE area's fishing heritage comes under the spotlight in a new exhibition on Bridlington's harbour later this month.
The Coble and Keelboat Society is holding the two-week event in the vehicle maintenance facility at Clough Hole.
George Traves MBE said: "There will be displays of traditional methods of fishing, archive photographs from Bridlington and Flamborough and a collection of boat building tools and materials."
The Flamborough-built coble Imperialist, which is being restored, will also be on show and there will also be demonstrations on the use of the boat-building tools.
The exhibition runs from August 17 to August 31, 10am to 5pm each day.
Admission is free but donations to help fund the Imperialist project are invited.
