Darts ladies sign up for walk

THE Ship Inn Ladies Darts Team have joined a growing band of women who will take part in Sue Ryder Care's third Midnight Walk in Bridlington.

This year’s walk, which takes place on Saturday, May 15, starts at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, just next to the Ship Inn and goes along the foreshore to the Belvedere and back, where the ladies taking part will receive a finisher’s medal.

Last year, more than 500,000 was raised from Midnight Walks around the country.

Louise Kilburn, team captain and landlady of The Ship Inn said: “I took part in the Midnight Walk last year and really enjoyed it, I told the girls what great fun it was and inspired them to sign up for it this year.

“We are taking part as a team and think it will be a great night out with a difference; it will be a tremendous amount of fun as there will be a lot of camaraderie with everyone encouraging each other along the way and having a laugh while they are walking. We are aiming to raise over 400 for Sue Ryder Care.”

If you would like to get a team together, register now at www.suerydercare.org/midnightwalk or call 01904 426920 to request a registration form.

To sponsor the ladies visit the pub or go to their online fundraising page at http://fundraising.suerydercare.org/shipinnladies

Forms can also be collected from Sewerby Hall or the Sue Ryder Care shop on Quay Road.
