Crews called out to fires
ELECTRICAL appliances kept the fire service busy in Flamborough and Bempton on Monday.
At 5.10pm a crew rushed to Constable Road, Flamborough, where a fridge inside a garage was on fire.
The fire was out before the crew arrived but 10 minutes later a call was received from Bempton reporting a microwave on fire.
That was also out before the crew arrived at the scene in Spring Lane.
A car caught fire in Matson Road, Bridlington, on Monday and had to be extinguished by its owner.
Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly before 7pm to inspect the car and make sure it was safe.
The owner put the fire out using buckets of water.
