Car mounted footpath

AN ELDERLY woman was almost knocked down by a car that allegedly mounted the footpath in Quay Road, Bridlington.

At 11.45am on Saturday February 2, a silver Peugeot 406 car, driven by a white man, is said to have mounted the footpath and drove along the path for some distance.

The elderly woman and her family claim they narrowly avoided by the car as it drove outside Milner’s Bakery on Quay Road.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident.
